Got questions?
For your convenience, B-F Online has posted a number of questions we receive on a regular basis. For additional questions, contact your Interactive Marketing Manager. Don't know who your Interactive Marketing Manager is? See Question 1.
1. Who do I contact at B-F Online to work on my brand?
B-F Online has assigned specific Interactive Marketing Manager (IMM) for each Brown-Forman brand. Click here to find yours.
2. My media plan includes online advertising. Does B-F Online need to be involved?
Yes. While the B-F Online team is not involved with trafficking your ads, your ads will need to include coding so that the results of your advertising can be tracked. While your media partner will be able to tell you the number of impressions and click-throughs delivered, only the B-F Online team will be able to identify which click-throughs accomplished the call to action on your web site or consumer database.
3. Can a web site be developed using 100% flash?
No. We prefer a combination of Flash and .aspx pages because this allows either site maintenance and future enhancements. Click here to learn why.
4. Can a web site be developed using PHP or mySql?
No. Brown-Forman Corporation has standardized its hosting environment with Microsoft servers and tools including Windows 2003/IIS and Microsoft SQL Server 2000. Click here to learn more.
5. Can my agency host a web site for a promotion?
No. All Brown-Forman brands must host their web sites within the B-F Online Infrastructure. Click here to learn more.
6. How do I nominate a Tennessee Squire?
First be sure that the person you want to nominate meets the requirements.
To be considered for membership in the Tennessee Squire Association, a nominee must meet the following requirements:
. A Squire must be of legal drinking age in country of residence
. A Squire must be one who drinks, serves or gives Jack Daniel's by preference and with consistency
. A Squire should occupy a position of influence which puts them in social contact with others (they should be well respected in their community and field of endeavor)
. A Squire must be of acceptable character and reputation
. A Squire may not be connected, in any way, with the liquor industry
Membership in the Squire Association is granted only to bona fide drinkers and supporters of Jack Daniel's, never granted in order to convince someone to try, or switch, to Jack Daniel's. It is always given as a reward, never as a lure. Nothing is asked of Squires other than their good will and friendship.
If the person meets these requirements, Squire nominations may be submitted by B-F employees in the following ways:
. Online through the B-F Portal Page under Building Brands / Tennessee Squire Association
. Through the Squire office at 1-800-756-7844
. Via e-mail to: Jeannie_Harris@jackdaniels.com
Squires may be nominated for membership by other Squires, by B-F employees, by distributors and retail partners, and by business associates.
7. I have collected consumer data cards at a local promotion. Where do I send them so they can be added to the database?
In the US, please complete a Data Collection Management form for all information collected and include it with your bundled cards. Send all cards to:
FCI
2200 Ampere Drive
Louisville, KY 40299
Attn: Brown-Forman Data Processing
Outside the US, please contact the B-F Online Marketing Manager for the brand.
8. I have received a consumer product complaint. What do I do?
The best and easiest way for consumers/B-F employees to communicate complaints is by e-mail through the specific brand web site. If e-mail is not an option, the consumer/B-F employee can call the toll free Brown-Forman consumer complaint line (800-657-7743) or write a traditional letter.
If the consumer has already contacted you as a B-F employee, you can simply e-mail the consumer's contact information to Marie Cundall or forward the information via mail or telephone. We partner with B-F Quality Assurance to investigate, resolve, document, and rectify every consumer complaint -- no matter the brand, no matter how large or small. Whether you're contacting us on a consumer's behalf or just passing the consumer's information along to us, we handle the rest of the process.
9. What are the Brown-Forman consumer communications policies and guidelines?
As part of our strategic goals of being the best Brand Builders in the alcohol beverage industry, Brown-Forman has seized the initiative of being a leader in building ongoing relationships with our consumers by effectively communicating with them. The B-F Online CRM Team draws on over fifty years of experience of communicating directly to consumers, and responding in a timely, informative, appropriate, and responsible manner to all consumer communications.
Because of the nature of direct consumer communications, we do occasionally receive contacts from consumers of a controversial nature, or that present potential legal problems such as:
. Communications from individuals that we do not want to share information with either because of their age or stated misuse of our products
. Communications that may involve potential legal problems regarding the submission of unsolicited product ideas or marketing concept
. Communications from residents of certain countries or US states that have legal restrictions regarding communication and marketing by alcohol beverage companies
